Everything you need to know about Flexible Natural Stone™ — the material, the system, and how it performs in real projects.

01

What is Flexible Natural Stone™?

Eco-Flexi MCM is a lightweight, flexible natural stone surface engineered for fast-track construction and renovation projects where traditional slab stone faces delays, structural constraints, or installation challenges. It complements rather than replaces conventional stone when project timelines and building conditions permit full slab applications.

02

How does it differ from traditional stone?

Traditional stone demands extended timelines, complex coordination, and installation uncertainty. Flexible Natural Stone™ eliminates those friction points — delivering authentic stone aesthetics without the delays or logistical overhead.

03

How much lighter is it compared to natural stone?

Up to 80% lighter than conventional stone slabs. This enables installation with standard tools and polymer adhesive — no crane, no mason, no structural reinforcement. Labour time is reduced, jobsite disruption is minimized, and project costs are lower without compromising the authentic stone aesthetic.

04

Can it be used on curved surfaces?

Yes. The flexible profile adapts to columns, arches, curves, and irregular surfaces — eliminating the cost and complexity of rigid stone alternatives. It is one of the material’s defining advantages over conventional stone.

05

Is it suitable for Canadian climates?

Yes. Engineered for Canadian conditions — freeze-thaw cycles, UV exposure, and seasonal temperature fluctuations. UV-stable formulations protect against intense seasonal sun. When installed with the recommended adhesive system, the material maintains structural integrity and appearance through extended outdoor conditions typical of Canadian regions.

06

What surfaces can it be applied to?

Flexible Natural Stone™ adheres to all standard construction substrates — drywall, concrete, masonry, cement board, and over stable existing cladding. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and structurally sound. Wet environments require proper waterproofing measures.

07

What are the framing and drywall requirements?

Drywall joints should be taped and finished. Framing should be adequately reinforced and braced with surface deflection minimized. The wall assembly must be firm and stable before installation begins. Flexible stone seams do not need to align with drywall joints — staggered and stacked layouts are both acceptable and are considered design preferences.

08

Does it meet fire safety standards?

Yes. ASTM E84 Class A fire-rated. EU Class A compliant. Certification documentation is available upon request for specification and permitting purposes.

09

Can it be used for fireplace surrounds?

Flexible Natural Stone™ may be specified for decorative electric fireplace surrounds where manufacturer-required clearances are maintained, appliance installation instructions are followed, and local code requirements are satisfied. The decorative finish material does not alter or reduce required appliance clearances. Gas and wood-burning applications require review by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

10

What is the Trade20 Program?

A verified trade pricing program available to qualified contractors, builders, designers, architects, developers, and industry professionals. Eligible members receive up to 20% trade pricing, project support, material estimating assistance, sample access, and priority service for active projects. Program terms apply. Contact us directly to apply.

11

What is the Partner Program?

A structured professional referral and trade partnership program with three options — C20 (20% referral commission on qualifying net revenue), D20 (20% trade discount on product subtotal), or C20 + D20 (combined commission and discount). Available to architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, developers, and consultants. Review the Partner Program Agreement for full details.

12

How do I purchase?

Flexible Natural Stone™ is specified by architects, designers, and contractors — not sold as a retail product. We partner directly with project teams to manage timelines, reduce specification risk, and ensure seamless integration into your build schedule.

13

How do I get pricing and samples?
